Don’t Let Your Friends Show You Up

Could you imagine that if every time you ate out there would be a way to know how many people in need you have fed? Well, imagine no more because that is already possible. For all of our Facebook fans head over to the TangoTab App on Facebook and we will keep track of the people you have fed, the people your friends have fed and how many people in need you all could feed.

The best part about it is that you could make this a friendly competition between you and your friends to see who the biggest philanthropist is. Make some friendly wagers, for example whoever gets to 100 first has to buy the other lunch, or drinks on whoever has fed the least by a certain date.

No matter what competition you come up with just remember…don’t let your friends show you up.

Quick Tip: Redeem an offer today and you can get a head start

Hunger Goes Unnoticed

This blog post was sparked from a recent post made by our Founder, Andre Angel. He posted a picture that was sent to him by one of the TangoTab employees and the employee asked:

“Why is it that a model in a bikini can post a pic and get thousands of likes and shares on Facebook, but this girl smiling after her first meal after not having one for a couple of days goes unnoticed?”

There are two months a year that hunger is at the forefront of everyone’s mind (November and December). Yet whether it is December 25 or July 3, there are over 17 million children going to be hungry every single night. We are in this fight to end hunger in America, but we can’t do it alone. We need you, your friends, your co-workers, etc… to join us in this movement to end hunger in America.

#GivingTuesday

After Thanksgiving three of the next four days are all about shopping. We are familiar with their names; Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and we can’t forget the one that has us clicking our mouse like crazy…Cyber Monday. Now there is a new guy that has hoped on board and his name is GivingTuesday. Sorry, we mean #GivingTuesday (can’t forget the hashtag love).

#GivingTuesday is all about, well giving. This is a day dedicated to change the way people talk, act, and think about participating in the giving season.

“It’s a simple idea. Find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to join in acts of giving. Tell everyone you can about what you are doing and why it matters. Join a national celebration of our great tradition of generosity. And together we’ll create ways to give more, give better and give smarter.” – GivingTuesday.org

So, how will you give today? We ask that if you are planning to go out to happy hour or dine out this evening for dinner to check out the offers on TangoTab. Every time you claim and redeem an offer on our app or website, we donate a meal to a person in need. We guarantee that it is the easiest way you can give back this #GivingTuesday.

How You Can Help Fight Hunger

The Daily Meal recently released the article “44 Things You Can Do to Help Fight Hunger in America.” We are proud to say that TangoTab is one of those things to do.

Tango Tab is no-fee, subscriber-based app and website that gives users access to local deals at their favorite restaurants. Not only is the app free, but the best part is that every time claim an offer from the app, TangoTab donates a meal to local food banks and hunger-related charities. The app’s tagline says it best: “When you eat, they eat.” - Colman Andrews, Editor, The Daily Meal

Things Are Getting Crunchy

We thought we would keep up with the rest of America and say, “Get out and vote.” However, we mean it in a different way. We are looking to be nominated for the 2012 Crunchies and we need your help. Would you be so kind to nominate TangoTab for this awesome recognition?

Let your friends know that they can help by sending in a nomination for us as well.
